From December 3 to 6, 2023, the delegation of YUHONG went to Mexico to attend the ASIPI Annual Conference (La Asociación Interamericana de Propiedad Intelectual), the most prestigious intellectual property industry association in the Americas. After the conference, YUHONG visited local law firms, and had in-depth exchanges with local IP practitioners.
This was the 22nd Annual Conference of ASIPI, during which not only a number of academic conferences related to intellectual property were held, but also a large stage was set up for intellectual property practitioners in the Americas to exchange and understand each other. IP practitioners from all countries could be seen at the venue and the atmosphere was particularly warm and also dynamic.
As one of the few Asian law firms, YUHONG has been warmly welcomed. The delegation of YUHONG, IP practitioners from all over the world discussed the IP development in the two regions, and introduced to each other the characteristics and differences of their respective IP legal fields. YUHONG learned about the policies of different Latin American countries on attracting foreign investment and protecting intellectual property rights, which provided an important reference for YUHONG to serve domestic clients.
In August this year, representative from YUHONG attended the ABPI (Associação Brasileira da Propriedade Intelectual) event held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and met many colleagues from Brazil and other Latin American regions. At this ASIPI annual conference, YUHONG not only discussed the next step of cooperation with many old friends, but also established contacts with many law firms in Latin America.
